Faustino Asprilla is one of the finest players ever to have emerged from Colombia, a player who drew comparisons with the likes of Pele and Garrincha at his peak. Nicknamed the Octopus and described by former Italy coach Edmondo Fabbri as "extraterrestrial", this rubber-legged forward approached the game in a manner most men could not conceive. But there were problems. He had a penchant for women, nightlife and, worst of all, firearms.
